About EiDO

EiDO is the culmination of work experience of our founder as an Economic Developer, Economic and Small Business Consultant, a Labor Market Data software Executive, and a Former Special Operations Intelligence Professional. During a combat deployment, it was common for founder Brooks Crenshaw to be inserted into a remote position in the desert supporting a small contingent of operators and told by higher command to “figure it out” in an entrepreneurial way. Learning to do just that is the impetus for EiDO.

While completing his Masters at Vanderbilt, a particular work group discussion planted a seed for EiDO. In it, a fellow classmate, a brilliant and successful peer stated, “You know, everybody in Econ talks about how markets are efficient, but they’re just not. They never are.” This conversation illustrated a problem that EiDO was founded to address. The main question in response: Markets are inefficient when compared to what, exactly? Answer: The fact is that market efficiency is directly correlated to how informed the market is. And EiDO informs the market.

As an Executive in Economic Development, Brooks observed a national trend around misalignments with regard to state government incentive program metrics. In particular, he witnessed large global corporations leveraging other state governments for expansive incentives, leading political appointees to make deals for which little ROI justification could be made.

How could this be corrected?
It had to come from the market as an innovative solution.

Providing small business with greater reach in expansion, supply chain, and customer acquisition with a higher corporate valuation, while providing states with market opportunities of billions in annual investment, higher jobs to dollars ratio, higher growth potential, and greater diversification of incentive portfolios. That is EiDO’s value proposition and the mission of its founder.

*UPDATE - With the departure of the United States from Afghanistan and subsequent collapse of the democratically elected government, tens of thousands of Afghan refugees eligible for U.S. resettlement remain in Afghanistan and at lily pads around the world. Brooks and his team have been working since September to support extraction and resettlement efforts of Afghan allies, many of whom risked their lives to ensure the safety of US troops, including Brooks. This situation serves as an opportunity to address the workforce challenge for our users.

EiDO provides connections between refugees and your hiring managers (based upon pre-vetted relationships). Additionally, this platform will provide access to resources for education, training, and placement for the free-user visa holder. As this platform will be virtual, it can be expanded internationally to lily pads and even targeted towards at-risk evacuees identified in Afghanistan and Pakistan for sponsorship. “

Founder's Story

Brooks Crenshaw, CEO and Founder of EiDO, served 10 years in the US Navy, primarily as Human Intelligence Support and a targeting officer for Naval Special Warfare units deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He served four combat tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has a BA from Belmont University and an MBA from Vanderbilt Owen School of Management, during which he was involved in multiple Nashville startups. Upon completing his most recent education, he saw an opportunity to use his unique blend of experience to impact the economic development landscape in Kentucky, the childhood home of both he and his wife, Kristie. Serving as the Data and Research Executive in Economic Development for Kentucky and later as a small business consultant identified multiple problems for which EiDO is the solution.
